DaRon Holmes II canceled approximately six workouts shortly after the NCAA withdrawal deadline, which has led most NBA teams to believe he received a promise from the Denver Nuggets, reports ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. The Nuggets utilized a similar strategy last year with Jalen Pickett.
Holmes is a versatile big man who would give the Nuggets depth behind Nikola Jokic. Holmes averaged 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 blocks in 32.4 minutes over 33 games in his junior season at Dayton.
Holmes is represented by Aaron Reilly.
