Feltner looks for that illusive second win of the season
Many things have gone wrong for the Colorado Rockies this season but they’ve at least found some success against the New York Mets in the four games they’ve played so far. After another solid offensive performance on Tuesday, the Rockies look to take the series with another win on Wednesday.
Paul Blackburn will take the mound for the Mets in his second start since being traded to New York. In 10 starts this season between Oakland and Queens, Blackburn has a 4.11 ERA in 51 innings of work with 44 strikeouts, 16 walks, and eight home runs allowed. In his last outing, he allowed one run over six innings against the Los Angeles Angels. He has made one start against the Rockies, spinning six innings and allowing two runs.
Ryan Feltner looks to get his second win of the season. He owns a 4.97 ERA in 22 starts with 106 strikeouts, 39 walks, and 17 home runs allowed over 121 1⁄3 innings. In his last start he allowed three runs over six innings against the Angels and in his previous start against the Mets he allowed four runs over 3 2⁄3 with five walks and seven strikeouts.
