The Colorado Rockies won a close contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers last night 6-3, thanks in part to a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning to seal the victory. Ryan McMahon also hit his 20th homer of the season, becoming the 10th player in franchise history to have at least five seasons of at least 20 homers. Antonio Senzatela (0-0, 6.00 ERA) will take the mound for the Rockies this afternoon. Senzatela made his first start of the season on September 16 — his first MLB start since May 10, 2023 against the Pittsburgh Pirates and first start at Coors Field since August 12, 2022. In that outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Senzatela allowed two runs on four hits across three innings, walking two and fanning two in a 3-2 Rockies victory. Senzatela is facing the Dodgers for the first time since April 10, 2022 at Coors Field, and is making his first start at Dodger Stadium since September 21, 2021.
