Rockies look to rebound from another blown save
After blowing yet another lead on Tuesday, the Colorado Rockies (29-56) look to take back a series lead against the Milwaukee Brewers (51-35) in game three at Coors Field.
The Rockies will send out Dakota Hudson (2-11, 5.84 ERA) to make his 17th start of the season. Hudson struggled in June, going 0-4 with a 7.77 ERA and now looks to change his fortunes in July and at home. Coors Field has proved a tough assignment for Hudson as he is 0-5 with an 8.58 ERA, 22 strikeouts and 23 walks. His last outing came on the road against the Chicago White Sox where he gave up five runs on six hits with five walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work.
The Brewers send out Colin Rea (7-2, 3.61 ERA) who has had a quality year on the bump. Rea posted a 3.25 ERA last month in 27 2⁄3 innings over five starts. In his last outing at home against the Chicago Cubs, Rea gave up two runs over 5 1⁄3 innings. In his lone start at Coors Field, Rea last just 3 1⁄3 innings, giving up five runs on six hits and walking four batters.
