This will be Márquez’s 2025 debut.
This afternoon, the Colorado Rockies (3-1-1) will try to win the first of a three-game series with the visiting Chicago White Sox (0-3).
Granted, spring training numbers mean nothing, but check this out: The Rockies rank third in the Cactus League in runs scored (29) and are tied for first in the Majors with 30 walks. Seems promising.
RHP Davis Martin will take the mound for the visiting White Sox. Last season, he had 10 starts with the Sox.
For the Rockies, today will mark Germán Márquez’s first game of 2025. His only start of 2024 was on July 14 against the New York Mets. Márquez says he feels fully recovered form the injury issues he has experienced over the last two seasons.
