Colorado Rockies weekend discussion thread for July 13-14, 2024

We made it! The first half is (almost) over! There are just two games left for the Colorado Rockies, and then the festivities begin for both the 2024 MLB Draft and All-Star Game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Ryan McMahon is currently the Rockies’ only All-Star, but the game isn’t until Tuesday so there is still time for Brenton Doyle to perhaps be named as an injury replacement.
The 2024 MLB Draft also takes place tomorrow (Sunday), Monday and Tuesday. The Rockies are picking third, 38th and 42nd on the first day and Purple Row will have complete coverage. And then next weekend is Todd Helton’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony! It’s quite a busy time!
But while we’re waiting for all of the festivities to officially begin, here’s what happened at Purple Row this week:
