Colorado Rockies news and links for Tuesday, February 18, 2025
Today marks the Colorado Rockies’ first all-squad workout, which means that spring training is well and truly on.
Bud Black has confirmed that everyone is in camp and healthy, save Sean Sullivan who is recovering from a hip procedure. But the good news is on Friday, we will have our first Colorado Rockies spring training game.
I’ve been sharing interview footage since last week. Now, it’s time for a 2025 Spring Training Guide.
So here’s what you need to know, whether you’re headed to the desert or watching from home.

Players will begin working out at around 9:00 am every day, and there are plenty of places for fans to settle in for watching workouts or a game. You may either buy tickets in the stadium or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn.

Storylines to watch
The Rockies haven’t left much room for speculation, but there are still some unanswered questions:
- Will Chase Dollander make the starting rotation?
- Will the Rockies use Carson Palmquist out of the bullpen?
- Who will play right field?
- Can Kris Bryant stay healthy?
- Will players like Nick Martini, Owen Miller, and Jimmy Herget break camp with the Rockies?
- Where do the Rockies play Kyle Farmer?
- Who will be the Rockies backup catcher?
